Be A Mega Mentor 2022

Be A Mega Mentor 2022

Our superstar mentors have been supporting our TY students who have been creating, experimenting, inventing, taking risks, making mistakes, having fun and changing the world. Throughout the programme, they have connected with students to offer real-world advice, shared their knowledge on all things creative and put their judging hats on to bring all of these amazing B!G ideas to life. By engaging directly with students to mentor them on their projects, our mentors are instrumental in equipping this next generation with the creative mindset to tackle the biggest problems society faces.
Shared Knowledge

Shared Knowledge

Our mega mentor community really does provide the link between our students, their communities and the wider creative industry. We work closely with them to spread the word about the amazing work our students are doing, as well as the impact of the The B!G Idea initiative nationwide. We also like to shout loud about the work our amazing mentors are doing! We love to share their involvement on social media, interview them on our Instagram ‘B!G 5’ and we holler a lot about them on LinkedIn.

All done with round one of mentoring with The B!G Idea! So fantastic and encouraging to see the quality of the ideas from the TY students taking part. Lots of creative and critical thinking, strong research and ideas. The future looks bright.

Absolutely inspired by the proposals put forward by students hoping to improve life for our ageing population. Just one of the many problems being tackled with creativity in this programme!

When I was in school, I didn't have Transition Year or anything like The B!G Idea to explore or inform my ambitions. I grew up in rural Ireland but luckily I had access to the Internet for inspiration and to broaden my worldview. That's why I'm so happy to hopefully help inspire the next generation of innovators.

Honoured to have been able to help out a little bit with The Big Idea - Ireland - The initiative aims to equip transition year students with the mindsets needed to tackle big problems. Great to see this being brought into Irish schools.
