We are over the moon at The B!G Idea to be selected as one of five awardees for the SEI 2022-2023 Impact Programme.
An awardee of the 2022 Social Impact Programme – doesn’t that have a lovely ring to it? We are over the moon at The B!G Idea to be selected as one of five awardees for the SEI 2022-2023 Impact Programme. The SEI is the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland which, of course, we very much like being associated with. The Impact programme identifies high-potential social entrepreneurs and supports them through significant funding and mentoring.
With over 100 applications from all over Ireland, and a rigorous screening and interview process, this one is extra special to us and we are feeling so proud to be selected. As an awardee we are now given specialised support to help us bring The B!G Idea to a higher level including coaching, consultancy and group training in areas such as leadership development, communications, governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and resilience. What’s not to love?!
Joining us as awardees are: DcodeDyslexia, a structured literacy reading programme for dyslexic students, their parents and schools; Hair Together, a personal development programme, which uses the art of hairdressing and barbering to reach and engage with young people who have not yet reached their full potential through mainstream education; Jiminy Eco Toys, a toy store shaking up the plastic focused toy industry by creating and sourcing genuinely eco-friendly and sustainable toys for children and the Two Norries, a podcast which uses personal stories, humour, and sensitive down-to-earth advice themed around crime, mental health, addiction and social and health issues.
We are so excited about how this will help us going forward and we are thrilled to be awarded this wonderful opportunity.
