Our awards cabinet continues to grow — and this time, the recognition came from our hometown. At the Carlow County Chamber Awards 2022, we proudly received the President’s Award, sponsored by Peninsula Group Ltd. Winning in our own county makes this achievement especially meaningful.
On 29th September, Co Carlow’s business community gathered at the VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art & The George Bernard Shaw Theatre. The event will celebrate innovation, resilience, and ongoing commitment across the region.
County Carlow Chamber organised the event, welcoming businesses from across the county. It has become one of the most important dates in the local business calendar.
We were honoured to celebrate alongside outstanding local businesses.KCLR96FM took home Business of the Year, while presenter Eimear Ní Bhraonáin received a Carlow Ambassador Award. Meanwhile, Carlow Toolmaking Services won Outstanding Small Business of the Year, sponsored by Horizon Safety Systems Ltd.
Notably, Carlow Toolmaking Services crafts the stunning medals and trophies we present to our own category and overall winners each year — which made the evening feel even more connected.
Over the years, the Carlow County Chamber Awards have grown into a flagship event celebrating the people and businesses driving innovation across the county. Therefore, receiving the President’s Award among so many respected local organisations was a special moment for The B!G Idea team.
