Can you hear that? That silence is the calm before the storm. And the storm is a storm of whopper prizes. Category prizes, Teacher of the Year prizes, Overall B!G Idea prize, you name it, we’ve got it.
Every student who has worked so hard during our programme will receive a customised certificate of participation, and each of our progressive schools will be certified a B!G Idea creative school!
Anyone who has been tuned in to The B!G Idea over the past year will know that we don’t do things by halves and the very same can be said about the prizes on offer for the end of the programme. On 20th May between 11am and 1pm we will be hosting our Final Showcase event which will be full of anticipation, fun, mayhem and B!G Idea style learning.
We will have guest speakers, live link-in’s and some entertaining interviews. And the B!G drum roll will come heralding the Category winners, the Teacher of the Year winner and the Overall winner. This year we will have five category winners which will be sponsored by MSD – Climate Change; RIAI – Housing Crisis; Netwatch – Healthcare; CJ Fallon – Equality; Aerogen – Mental Health. These lucky students will each receive their own bespoke B!G Idea custom medal as well as 4 x €100 One4All vouchers per category.
The lucky ESB Teacher of the Year will surely be delighted with a one night stay at Cliff at Lyons Boutique Hotel in Kildare with dinner for two in the Mill restaurant. Students will be the decision makers on this one as the Team Lead will be asked some evaluation questions when they upload the outputs which will help to identify this year’s mega, outstanding teacher. Unfortunately there is only one winner in this category despite the fact that every single teacher who has taken part this year has been an absolute superstar.
The B!G build up will finally be over then as the overall winner is announced. The Judges will have a tough time judging a winning team but when they come to an agreement, Creative Ireland will be on hand to award the lucky team with a B!G Idea trophy, €2000 cash prize and tickets to Web Summit 2022. Now that’s not a bad day’s work!!
