At The B!G Idea, we never sit back and watch the world go by. Instead, we actively promote creativity, innovation and education across Ireland and beyond. Over the coming month, our team will be speaking at a range of inspiring events to highlight why developing young people’s creativity matters more than ever.
Later this month, our Instigator, Kim Mackenzie Doyle, will join a panel at SX21, a three-day global online broadcast event. SX21 brings together leading thinkers, start-ups, investors, public sector leaders, NGOs and academics. Together, they collaborate, share ideas and explore solutions for the long-term benefit of society and the planet.
With more than 75 speakers from over 50 countries, SX21 focuses on purpose-driven innovation and global collaboration. Naturally, this is exactly where The B!G Idea belongs. Creativity and collaboration sit at the heart of everything we do.
In addition, This is HCD will host its next meet-up on Thursday, 23 September. Kim will appear as a special guest alongside illustrator and speaker Ashwin Chacko.
The theme of the event is Purpose. Together, they will explore an important question: Why do you do the work you do?
Purpose shapes our decisions, influences creativity and guides strategic thinking. During the session, Kim and Ashwin will share their personal journeys and discuss how discovering purpose can empower both individuals and organisations.
Furthermore, on Thursday, 7 October, the Kildare Local Enterprise Office will host an online event for National Women’s Enterprise Day. Kim will join some of Ireland’s most inspiring female entrepreneurs and business leaders for a day focused on growth, learning and future opportunities.
During the session, she will explain how creativity, innovation and design thinking can help businesses:
Meanwhile, the Interaction Design Conference will celebrate World Interaction Design Day on September 28. This global event highlights how interaction design can improve the human experience.
At the conference, Kim will present a session titled Designing Movements. She will explore how creative skills can move beyond products and profits to create meaningful global change. By using creativity to shift mindsets and behaviours, we can design solutions that shape a better future for everyone.
Finally, if energy allows after such a busy schedule, Kim will appear as a mystery guest at a leading global creative agency’s Team Talk later in October. More details will be revealed soon.
