You might be thinking about getting involved, but you’re not quite sure how. If that’s you, you’re in the right place. Below, we’ll walk you through exactly what it means to become a B!G Mentor and how easy it is to sign up.
A common question we hear is: “Am I the right person to be a B!G Mentor?”
The answer is simple — yes.
A B!G Mentor is anyone with professional experience in creative thinking, critical thinking, or problem-solving who wants to support and empower students to build real-world skills. If that sounds like you, then you already qualify.
Our B!G Mentors create a direct link between students and industry.
Creativity matters in every role, not just “creative” jobs. That’s why we actively welcome mentors from all sectors and industries, and from all levels within organisations. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of The B!G Idea, and the more diverse our mentor community, the stronger our programme becomes.
We believe every student deserves equal access to essential creative skills for life.
To make that possible, our programme remains completely free for all students. This is a B!G challenge — and it’s only possible thanks to mentors like you.
That’s why we invite creative innovators to join our B!G Community and pledge €200. This contribution directly supports students and allows us to keep the programme free nationwide. In fact, each mentor helps fund two students on the programme, opening doors to new opportunities and lifelong skills.
We know time is precious.
As a B!G Mentor, your level of involvement is completely flexible. You choose how and when you engage, with the entire process being fully digital and easy to fit around your schedule.
We ask for just 2–3 hours of your time.
In February, you’ll support student teams online by giving feedback on 3–5 projects through our bespoke mentor platform.
In May, you’ll review and grade student projects on your dashboard and even help select potential B!G winners for our annual B!G Showcase.
You can take part from anywhere, at a time that suits you.
