It’s celebration time again! The B!G Idea has been shortlisted for the HundrED Global Collection 2024, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
HundrED is a global, mission-driven organisation focused on education innovation. It identifies, amplifies and supports the implementation of impactful, scalable education initiatives around the world.
Importantly, the HundrED mission closely aligns with The B!G Idea’s purpose. Both organisations aim to help every child flourish through access to high-quality, future-focused education.
This recognition connects directly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education. Furthermore, it supports several other Sustainable Development Goals through its focus on inclusion, innovation and global citizenship.
HundrED brings together 28 country leads and more than 1,000 education enthusiasts worldwide. Together, they believe that educational innovation can transform school systems and equip students with the skills they need to thrive.
And with such a global network comes something powerful: diverse perspectives.
Similarly, diversity drives The B!G Idea. Our pool of industry mentors represents a wide range of sectors, skill levels, locations and lived experiences. Through our 14-week creative thinking programme, students in Transition Year, Leaving Certificate Applied, Youthreach, Community Training Centres and Northern Ireland programmes develop real-world problem-solving skills.
At the same time, mentors collaborate with student teams to refine ideas, challenge thinking and strengthen solutions.
Each year, the HundrED core team selects 100 of the world’s most impactful and scalable education innovations for inclusion in its Global Collection. This work is supported by an international academy of over 230 education experts, including teachers, researchers and school leaders.
Now, The B!G Idea will undergo review by the HundrED Academy between June 5–16, 2023.
