It’s blowing our trumpets time again! The B!G Idea has been shortlisted for the HundrED Global Collection 2024 and we are absolutely ecstatic.
HundrED is a global, mission-driven organisation which specialises in education innovation. It identifies, amplifies, and facilitates the implementation of impactful and scalable education innovations.
The HundrED mission is closely aligned with The B!G Idea’s – both are dedicated to helping every child flourish by giving them access to quality education.
This mission aligns with Goal 4 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals – ‘Quality Education’ and also connects with a number of the other SDG goals in the process. HundrED includes a community of 28 country leads and over 1,000 education enthusiasts from all around the world who believe that with education innovations, we can transform school systems and equip students with the skills to thrive as global citizens. And with such a large global community comes the power of diverse perspectives.
We benefit from diversity too with our pool of industry mentors from a range of skill levels, industries, locations and backgrounds. Through our 14 week programme, students in our Leaving Certificate Applied, Transition Year and Northern Ireland programme, and learners from Youtherach and Community Training Centres learn creative thinking skills. Mentors work with them to help develop their ideas.
The HundrED core team is a community of education experts, teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs, designers, and more. Each year, the team selects the 100 most scalable and impactful education innovations into its global collections. This work is supported by their global partners.
The B!G Idea will now be reviewed by the HundrED Academy, made up of over 230 experts in education (teachers, leaders, researchers, etc.) from around the world with a review process taking place between June 5-16, 2023.
