These awards highlight organisations across Ireland that lead in sustainable development and social responsibility. At their core are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The awards celebrate businesses that actively embed sustainable practices into their work. Therefore, we are incredibly proud to share that The B!G Idea has been shortlisted in the ‘Sustainable Impact by a Small Business’ category.
Sustainability sits at the heart of The B!G Idea programme. Through our national creative thinking initiative, students tackle real-world challenges aligned with the SDGs. These include climate change, mental health, hidden poverty, displaced people, and diversity and inclusion. As a result, students don’t just learn about sustainability — they actively design solutions around it.
Consequently, this shortlist feels especially meaningful to us. It recognises the impact young people create when education and industry work together.
BAM Ireland sponsors the awards. The Department of Rural and Community Development supports them. The finals will take place in Dublin this September. We look forward to celebrating alongside organisations committed to building a more sustainable Ireland.
