As is known, the B!G Idea team rarely sits still. Last week, Kim and Niamh took a bold step into the world of European collaboration. Recently, they travelled to Denmark to begin work on an exciting new EU project.
Kaospilot, a self-governing school for creative leadership and meaningful entrepreneurship, leads the project. Alongside The B!G Idea, the project partners include:
Together, these five organisations form the foundation of BANG! (Bridging All Next Generations).
BANG! operates under the Erasmus+ Programme, specifically within the Cooperation Partnerships in Youth action type. Mainly, the project aims to:
Naturally, this aligns closely with The B!G Idea’s mission. In many ways, we have already laid the groundwork through our creative thinking programmes in Ireland.
After two years of remote work and limited travel, the opportunity to collaborate in person felt especially energising. All five project partners gathered in Denmark to begin shaping the creative learning framework that will guide the initiative. Over the coming months, additional workshops will help refine and develop the programme.
However, the highlight will arrive in 2023.
In 2023, the project will host an international BANG! Summer Lab. Thirty young learners aged 16–18 and ten educators from the partner countries will come together for a five-day intensive experience. During the Summer Lab, students will apply their online learning in real-world team settings while engaging with diverse stakeholders.
As a result, participants will deepen their creative digital skills while building cross-cultural collaboration and confidence.
There is plenty of work ahead — and even more ideas to explore. Nevertheless, partnering with like-minded organisations across Europe brings enormous opportunity. By combining expertise, creativity and ambition, we aim to build something truly impactful for the next generation. As we always say at The B!G Idea:
Innovation Starts Here.
