Recently, The B!G Idea was selected for a place on the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Impact programme, a nine-month accelerator. Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has been providing mentorship and guidance to organisations since 2004.
Last week we had the pleasure of attending the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, The Gathering. What a night it was! The theme could not have been more fitting for The B!G Idea – “Hope for the Future – envisioning a better Ireland”.
In Kim’s own words: “When I initially applied for the Impact programme I did not succeed. I questioned (for a second) going for it again and succeeded! Being resilient and learning through failure (Flearning – what we embrace in The Big Idea – Ireland) is a critical component to becoming a social entrepreneur, every win is hard fought.”
With the help of SEI and events like The Gathering last week, we have so many opportunities to meet other incredible awardees and social entrepreneurs which can only lead to great things. Our hope, as always, is to be able to further develop the organisation and its capacity to meet the growing demand for the B!G Idea programme in schools.
