The B!G iDEA  is getting comfortable on Instagram Live every Wednesday at 11am. Each week we ask one of our Superstar mentors 5 questions and they have 15 seconds to answer each one. It is so much fun and we are quickly garnering some real nuggets of information to help you on the road to creative success!!

The exciting news is that the common theme from the three interviews to date is that creativity is all about having fun and not having to grow up. It’s about finding the ‘Ikigai’ in the middle of a Venn diagram surrounded by what you are passionate about, what you’re good at, what you get paid for and what the world needs and right there in the middle is that Ikigai. It’s finding that Ikigai inside yourself and bringing out its full potential.

For these Superstars, creativity hits at any time but most commonly when they are relaxed. It flows when in the shower, when sleeping or when out walking. Not one of them mentioned anything awful like being creative at 7am or during an hour-long cardio workout. So there’s hope for all of us!!

It’s important to believe in yourself, to enjoy being creative and to not overstress or overthink things. And the other good news is that it’s really, really important not to let other people’s opinion of your work affect your output. So be vulnerable, be happy, be open and care less about what other people think. As the saying goes – you’ll worry less about what other people think when you realise how seldom they do.
